What to do...?
0
Life is Hard.
I need money. I have some money. I need more money.
I don't yet know what I'm going to do about this situation.
Maybe a second part time job. Maybe a full time job. Maybe a full time job and keeping my Smithfield RSL Jobs at night. There are also other things, other goals that I do not want to give up.
Then, most importantly, there are the things that I wont give up. Namely time with my wife.
I don't know why this constitutes a blog, but I just had this thought that I felt I needed to put down.

My thoughts before Vietnam
0
These are the thoughts I had before leaving for Vietnam. Just before I got on the jet.
Busy morning of getting to the airport.
About to leave for Vietnam.
Gonna take a shit before my 8 hour flight.
Last few minutes on ground level in Australia. This is gonna be awesome XD.

Starting the new year off with a BLOG.
1
I'm extremely happy with my life at the moment.
I don't have a lot of money, I'm not really getting the hours I want at work, I'm still fat, My teeth hurt and are starting to compact as my 4 wisdom teeth are pushing through.
I don't have health insurance that will help me afford that. Nor will that same absent health insurance cover the surgery I will have to have on my leg to remove the metal from my broken leg, which is in a constant aching pain. (if I take pain killers t dulls the pain a lot but I don't want to fuck up my kidneys by living off pain killers so I gave up taking them.) and rent and bills and the lack of budgeting skills and/or follow through make saving any money incredibly difficult.
But even though there is all that shit... I'm very happy.
I'm deeply in love with my wife (I know... Gay), my relationship with my family seems like its never been better and is only improving as time passes.

I'm starting a diet, which isn't really a diet but I'm only buying foods that are good for me.
I have a cheat day (Sunday) so if you see me eating crap food on this day LAY OFF OR I'LL BITE YOUR FUCKING ARM OFF!!!
Seriously, 6 days is a hard hill to climb for me. I need that cheat day.
I've got a good thing going at my gym. Working out at getting fit. And I'm finding, the harder I push myself, the more energy I have.
And I have a lot of plans for this year and a lot of momentum in my reserves of motivation and drive to pull from for the new year.
Who knows? Maybe this is just the fresh start, new years resolution doomed to failure feeling I usually get at the start of every year speaking. But I hope it's the start of something great.
Oh! And one of my best friends and certainly my longest friend is coming back soon!!!
Joseph!!!!
Also

Gym partner and great friend Tim... Helping to keep me on the path. I don't think he knows how much I appreciate it. This getting fit and looking good thing means a lot to me and without Tim I just don't think I would be able to manage it. But I'll never say it to his face coz it very well might make me emotional and that wouldn't be manly.
AUDREY!!! Gym partner nĂºmero 2. For some reason your picture is mysteriously absent from my phone. Hmm...
And

Miss you('s)

Miss you

And miss bru.
Hope to see you guys soon.

My butt is running a marathon
0
Once upon a time... My butt used to feel like it at least had some degree of cushiony softness. Now it feels like a rock. That and I'm pretty sure my balls have fallen asleep.
But I suppose that's the price you pay for awesome holiday adventures.
On my way to Vietnam!!!
The flight has been pretty cool so far. I thought when I got on I was going to have to pay for the food and drinks but nope. They give you noodles any time you want on the plane. That's pretty awesome. But they also have menus for lunch and dinner and shit.
I had something that I think was called Kung Po chicken with trice and veggies. Also came with a little piece of some banana nut cake which was pretty tasty and helped with the spicy food.
They also give you a bunch of drinks any time you want. The catch is that they give you these tiny little cups. But you can alcoholic drinks free to. But I'm not too keen on getting drunk before I get to the airport in Vietnam.
So here's the deets as of when I'm writing this.

I might try and squeeze in another uncomfortable nap to ward off the jet lag. Hope to see Nat and Dave and Jaz and Lana soon. - Posted using BlogPress from my iPad... In a big ass plane 40,000 ft in the air. Booyah.

The traffic in vietnam
1
As soon as I got in the car from the airport I was greeted with this crazy traffic
10 minutes after they stopped laughing at me for recording touristy video the traffic got 100 times worse.
The use their indicators only when they feel like it, scooters dodge between traffic using their hands to buffer between cars.
The Side of the road you choose to drive on depends on if oncoming traffic feels threatened by your horn or not.
All this considered I love driving around on Tuyets scooter. She Directs and I drive. All I got to do is not die as try to avoid all the rocks and potholes on the road.
I went to the markets the other day to have a look around but aside for some gift ideas I think I might wait until we get into Saigon to some shopping.
The water you want to be drinking when you get here should look something like this

Note the fact that when you open the lid the seal is unbroken and it has wrapping around the lid to show it hasn't been tampered with. And you drink a shit fuck ton of water over here.
When the stores are closed and there is no water to be found it isn't too bad because Tuyet's mum boils water and chucks it in the fridge. It still feels like it has a weird taste but that's probably just because it is stale.
Pho.... Pho for breakfast. It's weird. And I don't usually finish it. Pho just doesn't seen like a breakfast food. But meh, adapt.
Lunch is usually some type of rice or noodle with some sort of meat.
My favourite meal of the day is dinner. That's probably because we keep going back for ban sow. Or something like that. It's the same stuff that Nat's mum makes. It tastes awesome.
I also love the way they make their coffee here. It's always ice coffee. I'll get a video of it next time and slap it up here.
Tuyet's dad keeps asking for arm wrestles.... He has started using two hands... I still win. LOL but it's all good fun. He also likes to take me drinking and when we drink we have this squid that he makes me dip in chili sauce (everything here has chili or some sort of spice). And then I found out that I was drinking some alcohol that he had made himself (fuck it was strong. And they drink their whiskey straight here) using fermented seahorses and some other shit... He then told me (mimed and got Tuyet to translate) that it's healthy for you but has a Viagra like effect... After we had been drinking -_-.
Google translate on my iPhone has helped a lot. And Tuyet has been teaching me more and more Vietnamese. Body language and drawing has also played a part in getting along here.

Tuyet's dad took me to this house full of women sowing embroidery onto material... I don't know why he took me but when I walked in the made a lot of noise, used all 3-6 of the English phrases they knew at me and then stared and asked questions. People here aren't used to seeing white people... And I'm too tall for this place. Keep hitting my head on shit.
Don't drink the "Pepsi" here. I did... It's not pepsi... And it was quite obviously rebottled. But even after all the food I've eaten and shit I've drank I haven't got sick yet. Knocking on wood.
Tomorrow the beach. Today... Chilling out. Might see if I can head down to one of the market places.

The flight from Australia
0Necessity for Vietnam
1
Water... Dear god I need more water!
Especially for someone as fat as me. Today is probably going to be the hottest day. Then again the shock of that first step outside the airport was pretty horrific.
I have a headache at the moment, I think it's because I haven't had too much water today.

Just a dude rocking the old ox and cart amongst all the scooters driving so crazily on the road.
This place is crazy. But that's what I like about it. It's so different from Australia.
I'm pretty sure they use their horns over here instead of their indicators.
But I must have a death wish because I've been going around riding bitch on the back of Tuyets scooter only to find out today that she doesn't have a license to drive here either LOL!
I understand where the stereotype comes from.
They don't have iPhone sims here so Tuyet just cut the one I'm using now to fit... And it worked hahaha.
I went with Tuyet to visit her grandmother yesterday. Literally had to bend myself in half to walk in her place.
Most of the dogs don't like me here, they remind me of Nat's fat dog except these are all skinny and bigger. But they're also scared of me so that's good.
Finally got some 3G hahaha. $5 for 1gb mwuhahahahaha. And I got a new iPhone case for like $1.50. Those are the Aussie prices. I don't know how much dong it was. Hehehe dong.
I'm gonna post this now and write more later.

The week in review

Monday
Pretty sure that I slept most of this day away... If I'm wrong then this memory has fled from my brain in terror... Maybe that's why I couldn't explain the Blood on my shirt and the dirt under my finger nails...

Tuesday
The last blog I did was about the first day back at uni. That was my Tuesday
Wednesday
On Wednesday I slept til about 11 and then picked Tuyet up from her Aunty's house.
After a brief stop off, we went to blue star at stockies for lunch

She had strawberries and pancakes

I had a ham cheese and tomato sandwich.
I went to the post office to get some passport photos done.. Not to self finish the passport... Where I saw Jeff from work.
Then we went back to blue star and clowned around while Nat and Dave ate.

Nat and Dave came down because they saw me instagram a picture and were hungry.
Then we went down to the travel agent and got some brochures of Vietnam so we could get an idea of what to do when we're down there. And I bought a new backpack XD

Thursday
Had uni again. I discovered that the students in my class don't know nearly as much as me about history. Then again, I also discovered that they don't know nearly as much as me about current events either...
I also had another assignment given... It was otherwise a quiet day at uni.
Friday
Not gonna lie... This day was spent doing some pretty gay things. But I was with a chick so it was cool... But enough about Friday.
Saturday
Was spent organizing my room and doing uni work. Then I got called into work. But to counter act the suckyness of that I got pizza and got drunk with Garry.
Sunday
Woke up. Went to yumcha with Nat, Dave and loc. It was delicious.

I then played pool an spent the rest of the day playing video games until I had work.
Pretty sure this is what happened in the past week.
Question. Did I get everything right?

UWS is one big Education worshipping Cult 0_0
1
I had my first day back at uni on Tuesday. I actually had a really great time. Compared to being at home all the time waiting for my leg to heal, going to work where the only thing I do is greet the occasional person that wants only to play the pokies and doesn't hear the greeting anyway over the sound of their own addiction spinning the feature in their heads. The feature that they swear to you and anybody else that hears them bashing the machines, always eludes them...
I seem to have strayed off topic just a little bit there... Where was I...?
Oh yeah!
Aside from shit like that, university has been really great to get back into.
For one, I fit right back into my role as class clown, and even if I don't think it's appropriate to share the joke with anybody else I always manage to seem like an mental patient because I'm constantly chuckling to myself about something the tutor says.
Also it's good to be reading and thinking about shit that's new and mentally stimulating. Because whilst tumblr may be entertaining...

it's rarely thought provocative.
The thing of most note, however, was my education unit for this semester.
I swear the tutor for this unit did his thesis in cult leadership,
and... I have the sneaking suspicion that he has a problem with people that can't walk.
The prick's whole lesson plan seemed to involve making us walk accross the room and introduce ourselves to random people in the room.
Also, at one point he had us all progress from touching these random peoples hands to everyone in the class getting in a circle and holding hands.
I swear this whole thing is going to end in some sort of ascension ceremony and I ain't drinking the punch.
That's all for now I guess.
Question - If you were a cult leader what mythical god-like creature would you create and then worship?
Oh yeah!

What did I do today?
I tried and I would say only half succeeded in fixing Jeff's daughter's iPhone. My brother was surprised at how Aussie they all were considering Jeff is Asian.
I did my groceries. Trying to make it so I eat healthier. Got me some avocado XD. And more milk. because I needs to have strong bone recovery.
Now I will Internets it til I fall to sleep.
Good Times.
Love, Warren

The leg... It's still broken...
3
So I went to the doctors today... And found out that due to extensive nerve damage in my leg I'll never be able to use my leg in any real capacity ever again.
And then I woke up from that horrible dream and realized I was late for my real doctors appointment.
So I raced all the way to Campbelltown and escaped a short spurt of rain by seconds. When I got into the doctors office he showed me X-rays of my leg. They were fucking insane. The metal in my leg will not be coming out... This will make traveling a little tricky.
Then I hopped up on the table and he took off my cast. At first it was like FREEDOM! And then I was like "OMG it REEKS! Put it back onnnnn!!!" Not really. the cut on my leg where they operated was massive and covered in blood and shit. I didn't need a cast after all, all I need is my boot XD.
Good times. And... It might just be his operating ego and shit but he said, aside from the pain I'll experience whenever it's really cold and the stiffness and months of rehabbing my leg into walking again... I won't have a limp for the rest of my life XD... just for a long time.
Annnnnnd. I might be able to start walking on it by the time Queensland is here! YAY! Maybe... I'll have to see. He doesn't want me to walk on it for another 8 weeks, but I shall heal my leg!
The downside is things are starting to get expensive. With today's visit and the visit before Queensland and then the subsequent doctor and physio appointments this is probably going to cost me a fair bit. Already down almost $300 (This does not include all the surgery and hospital stuff and the drugs and the doctor appointments I've had between now and then =(
But no life long injury is pretty cool XD

Already down almost $300 (This does not include all the surgery and hospital stuff and the drugs and the doctor appointments I've had between now and then =(
But no life long injury is pretty cool XD

Musings that turned out to be rather depressing
2
Time to blog.
I feel a little direction impaired as to what to do with this blog. Today all I did was work... It was boring as always. I think when I get back to uni things will be better... for the blog.
I'm not looking forward to going back to uni though. Broken leg is going to make things pretty shit. Plus I have some shit to deal with there.
On the other hand. Blargh!
Nat and Dave ran into Tim's mum at Coles the other day. Apparently she too blames me for my broken leg. This isn't too much of a surprise for me considering that the only version of events she has heard is her sons version of events. But it still kind of hurts.
Apparently she said if I wanted to see her I should text her, but I don't think there is too much point. What would I do anyway? I've been covering for Tim's ass for so long that to go back on it now would make me look ridiculous.
I think that the problem is... I'm angry with myself for letting the whole Tim thing go so far. It very quickly became obvious that Tim was not the sort of person I thought he was after I had moved in with him.
Then, eventually realizing that there was no way that he was going to change, I felt as if I owed him too much. Every time that I thought it was enough, I'd flash back to that night I was half blind with my face bashed in and lying in the gutter half way up the street calling everyone I knew for some help.
The only one who picked up and actually got something happening was Tim... I know that it was mostly an ego thing for him. He likes to paint himself into peoples problems to become the hero, but I still reached out and his parents came.
I suppose I should try and straighten things out with his parents but I feel like I'd be betraying them when I go to make some sort of legal move for compensation, and I've been fighting myself for weeks now with whether or not I should, but I now feel like I have to.
Also, apparently he is really angry at me. FUCK HIM! He has no right in the world to be angry at me. That's just like the fuck you cherry on the pile of shit mountain that is the insult he has heaped upon me in this entire situation.
I hope there is some good news from the doctors tomorrow.

Blast from the Past
0
So, with the broken leg and all, I find myself with an abundance of time on my hands. I found my camera and decided after 3 years or so it might just be time to upload some shit.
So I found these pics of 2008, apparently New Years Eve in Hyde Park...
Here they are.
Church
Fountain
Church
Church
Path
Water...
I mostly took pictures of that church... It looks like a castle.
The End

It sucks to be a cripple, but I have the best friends in the world.

So the last time I blogged properly on this blog it was the day before my birthday. Shit has happened since then...
Foolishly I believed that even with my broken leg I could spend a day in the city no troubles... This day did not do a lot for my self esteem. Being wheeled around isn't as cool as you think it is... especially for a big dude... I felt horrible today.
Also, not easy getting around in a rickety old wheel chair. Constantly looking for a way into any of the places in the city we went today. I had to hop up the steps to the convention center today. Of course there was an easier way in... Garry and I just didn't know it.
Being butt high to everyone... not cool... very not cool... I feel bad for short people... the air is not fresh down there...
Other unpleasantness... all in all... I HATE HAVING A BROKEN LEG.
Despite all of this, I had a good day. The optimist in me was firmly on the surface and I enjoyed the food and wine festival and I had a really good time with all the people today, they are all really awesome people and all of them went out of their way today to help me and make me feel still wanted LOL... It's nice to have great friends.
We helped Garry pull Ajay's number properly... hahaha he is awesome.
Me and Gaz finished up the night by seeing Transformers 3... I really enjoyed it. But I like to be entertained.
Oh also... My wheelchair broke in the city today... not easy getting back to the car... But thanks to Dave for saving the day.
- We went to the city and enjoyed a night of karaoke
- Kerrie lost me money by getting too drunk and throwing up all night... To be fair Dave and Kev threw up everywhere too.
- We all got together and did some stuff before the party at Nat's house
- I don't yet seem to be able to properly piece together some of that night, but I reckon I got most of it and dude it was awesome.
- The night ended tragically for me when the man who had been abusing the term "best friend" to make me do shit for him every time he couldn't act like an adult for the past few years broke my leg... I'm not saying he did it on purpose, I'm saying his actions caused it and he hasn't even began with an apology.
- Spent majority of the next day hospitalized.
- The next day was pretty much rest.
- Back the the hospital for like 3 days ish for surgery. I hope they put my leg back together because I haven't really heard about what shit they did to my leg yet...
- Nat and Luu busted me out. We went and ate at Ribs and Rumps... delicious.
- Spent the rest of the night at Nat's house which was pretty cool.
